I am Mary Donné MA (Assoc CIPD).
I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, a UK registered learning provider, and a qualified teacher. I have a particular interest in autism and neurodiversity within the workplace, and am an Associate Trainer with The Curly Hair Project.
I have had extensive training in NLP, and coaching and mentoring techniques, and have created and delivered programmes in these subjects for businesses.
I began my HR career at media giant Universal Studios. I then spent three years as Co-Owner and Director of a successful entertainment company, in my hometown of London, where I managed festivals and rock gigs, working with musicians and performers.
During my business career I have had the privilege of working with McCann London (previously McCann Erickson Advertising), Channel 4 Television, Film4 Limited, and Flextech Television (now Living TV Group).
After relocating to beautiful North Yorkshire I became a teacher. Since then, I have gone on to work with a diverse range of young learners and adults including non-English speakers, and those with specific challenges to learning and development.
Outside of work, I am an FA licensed football coach, a try-hard multi-linguist, and I’m obsessed with TV detective dramas. I am lucky enough to be a features writer for Everywhere Magazine and I regularly write, blog and speak about work, vocational education, and the future of work. Over the last year I am proud to have been involved with Young Enterprise as a volunteer mentor and judge. I live with my husband and two children, and am counting down the days until Euro 2020.
