I am Mary Donné MA (Assoc CIPD).
I am a learning and development specialist, professional trainer, speaker and coach. I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, a UK registered learning provider, and a qualified teacher.
I began my L&D career at media giant Universal Studios. I then spent three years as Co-Owner and Director of a successful entertainment company in my hometown of London. Along the way I have had the privilege of working with McCann London (previously McCann Erickson Advertising), Channel 4 Television, Film4 Limited, and Flextech Television (now Living TV Group).
I have a particular interest in autism and neurodiversity within the workplace, and am an Associate Trainer with The Curly Hair Project.
I am lucky enough to be a features writer for Everywhere Magazine and I regularly write, blog and speak about work, employment, the future of work, and all things related.
I hold degrees from the universities of London and York, and my Masters degree has an education specialism. I have taught at 3 secondary schools in the York area with a diverse range of students, from year 7 through to A Level. I have worked (and occasionally still do work) with EAL/non-English speaking learners, and those with particular challenges to learning.
Outside of work, I am an FA licensed football coach, and try-hard multi-linguist (currently learning Russian) – y’see, it’s all about the learning.
I live with my husband and two children in the beautiful city of York, and am counting down the days until the new series of Line of Duty starts.
